Woah...

So much has been happening and we haven't found a second to update our blog!

Our daughter Violet Ann was born nearly 3 months ago on July 26, 2008 and weighed in at 9lbs. 5oz. and 20 1/4 inches long. She is so precious and so beautiful, we can't get enough of her.

On the other hand, Nolan has been quite the 2 year old! He's still so very busy and jabbering away. His favorite thing to say right now is "What's that mama/daddy?" If I had a dollar for every time he said that, I'd be rich! Right now he's absolutely insisting on potty training and he's doing really well. Today he's already gone twice!

We apologize for it being so terribly long since we updated our website! I realize this is cliche' but time flies when you're having fun!!

I also realize that most of our friends and family have received our Christmas cards and I specifically put our family web address on it so you could read up on what we've been up to, and there really wasn't any new information on here (however... a few of you obviously missed the memo about how we moved and sent our cards to our old address, shame on you!)

This year we've been very busy updating our new house. We've practically painted every room , including a full makeover in our upstairs bathroom (before and after pictures will be posted soon). Removed some unsightly mirrors (think 70's wall to wall, floor to ceiling!) The downstairs bathroom is our winter project that will begin in January and hopefully end in January as well. Nolan has been quite the riot. He's been walking since 9 months and running ever since! He's now 18 months and is developing quite the vocabulary! His newest obsession is flashlights and trains (just like his big brother Colin). For more on him, please see his website http://www.ourjunebug.com/

We've moved!!!

We are so very happy to announce that we purchased our first home on the 1st of February!! We really had not intended on puchasing a house this quickly but the perfect one came along and we couldn't pass it up. We moved in on the 10th and are still trying to get settled. I'll be posting pictures soon, so please be patient. Here is a link to the home prior to our move in Our House. It's approximately 2000 sq. ft., 4 bedrooms and 2 baths and it backs up to woods. It's the most beautiful site from our bedroom window especially with all the snow we've got right now.

We're doing a lot of painting and little affordable updates but have big plans for other updates as time goes on. We're most excited about the backyard for the boys to run around in and an actual garage to park our cars in! Day by day we're getting more settled and falling in love even more with our new house.

The extra space allows us to have family dinners, backyard bbq's and lots of company. We plan on having a house warming party in the spring when the weather is better, so hopefully we'll be seeing you soon!

We hope that our friends and family received the Christmas letter from Nolan. He spent a lot of time writing and perfecting it! He's 6 months old today and very excited for to open Christmas presents (more so for he wrapping paper than what's inside!)

Christmas Eve we will be taking Colin over to Grandma and Grandpa Curran's for a wonderful dinner and gift exchanging. It's usually the one time that everyone gets together in the same place, so we're excited to see all the family.

Christmas morning we'll be spending here at home, opening presents and seeing what Santa brought us in our stockings. Nolan's first Christmas should be fun! Later in the afternoon we'll be heading back to the Curran's to spend time with them.

New Years Eve I shall continue the tradition of Shrimp Fondue and UNO that my family did for so long. Should be fun!

For years I've heard and seen people's blogs and never bothered with my own, but now I'm trying it for the first time! I thought I'd make a family website to keep those of you near or far connected to our lives.
